Wild Rice with Ginger, Turmeric and Spicy Salmon

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I’m always in the kitchen especially over the holidays having friends over. Plus I just really like to cook for my family and Trevor. It’s so fun to get them to try out different recipes. This one was a favourite so I’ve decided to share it!

I used the T-Fal MultiCook and Grains and honestly it’s so easy to use. I've had it for about a year now and it comes in handy all the time. All you have to do is follow the screen on the machine. You select your setting for what kind of ingredients you are cooking and a built-in AI will help you out with the rest, like how much water and how much rice for the amount of people you are serving. The T-Fal MultiCook and Grains has a Patented Nutri+ technology which allows you to cook nutritious meals while preserving nutrients in your food in a one pot cooking experience with a variety of cooking functions.

Wild Rice with Ginger, Turmeric and Spicy Salmon

Makes 2

Type Gluten free,

Time

Ingredients

1 cup wild red rice in the T-Fal MultiCook and Grains (make ahead of time)

1/8 teaspoon of powdered turmeric

1/8 teaspoon of powdered ginger

1 Tbsp of olive oil

Black pepper

Salmon (amount of your preference)

& finally a few dashes of hot sauce of your choice

Instructions

To prepare the salmon:

  1. Bake a small piece of salmon in the oven until it is cooked all the way through and well done at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. You can then shred the salmon into small pieces to easily prepare with the rice, adding in the hot sauce before or after mixing with the rice.

  2. Mix everything together with a dash more olive oil and ready to serve.

  3. This recipe is perfect on its own, on a bed of lettuce, in a taco or with a side of steamed veggies like bok choy and broccoli.

  4. Enjoy!
