Pumpkin Apple Spice Raw Ball Recipe
Bringing to you all my latest raw ball recipe for the fall, Pumpkin Apple Spice.
Yes, yes they do taste just as good as they sound.
I'm still in the middle of this 25 day detox cleanse (no added sugar, dairy, soy, meat, gluten, starch based carbs, processed foods, alcohol, coffee, unhealthy oils or fats) that is basically cutting out so many things from your diet to allow your body to naturally detoxify. Because of this I got back into cooking and making myself treats that i can know and control what is inside.
I decided to make raw balls. One of my favourite things to make because they are relatively easy as well as nutritious powerhouses when running around all day and of course to the gym. You can also make so many different flavours and play around with mixes that I never get bored... just maybe run out of ingredients!
These fall flavoured raw balls are no added sugar, vegan, gluten & soy free and basically the healthiest thing you can snack on with the fall flavours you've been craving.
Does contain coconuts and almonds.
Ingredients:
1/2 can of pumpkin pure (1.5 cups)
1 apple (I like to use cortland)
1/4 cup of almonds
1/2 cup of dates
1/8 cup of coconut milk
1/2 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut
1 Tbsp of MCT oil
1 Tsp of Nutmeg
1/4 cup of cinnamon
Blend it all together in a food processor. It may take two batches if you have a small one at home for sauces and other blends.
Then form 12 small balls out of the mix and roll them in coating.
Coating Ingredients:
I did a mix of coconut, cinnamon and my fave super seed mix from Protein World. I mixed this all together on a plate and rolled the balls in them.
Place on a tray and let sit in the fridge before serving.
Great as a healthy snack for kids or yourself while on the run. Also a great healthy alternative for dinner guest who have dietary restrictions or are looking for a low calorie sugar free treat.
Enjoy and happy fall my fit fatale babes!
