7 Vitamins to Help You This Winter

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I’ve struggled to keep my energy levels up in the shorter days of winter my entire life and it’s impacted my routine, working out, staying motivated and keeping up with the craziness that is Christmas, New Years and everything in-between. And just when you think you’ll be receiving some downtime to recuperate after the holidays, you will be facing the shortest and coldest days of the year head on.

In addition to putting more focus on my health and wellness routine, I decided to take an additional small step towards supporting my health when this holiday season kicked off. It seems really simple, but so many people forget this daily… and sadly, myself included - VITAMINS! Taking a daily multivitamin can help support and maintain your health and complement your healthy routine.

So, you’re maybe thinking…. “Right, Vitamins! Okay, but there is so much info out there about them and their benefits. Which one is right for me?” I wanted to give you more information on certain vitamins that might help you depending on what your needs are.

HERE ARE 7 VITAMINS THAT MIGHT HELP YOU THIS WINTER

Vitamin A

Helps to support the immune system, helps to maintain eyesight and healthy skin, and helps build strong bones.

Vitamin B12

Helps in the production and function of red blood cells and helps in energy metabolism.  .

Vitamin C

Helps to support the growth and repair of connective tissue. It also helps support immune function and is an antioxidant for the maintenance of good health.

Vitamin D

Helps to build strong bones and teeth, as well as assists in the absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus. Calcium intake, when combined with sufficient Vitamin D, a healthy diet and regular exercise may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.

Vitamin B6

Helps in energy metabolism and tissue formation.  .

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Helps maintain the body’s ability to metabolize nutrients (helps convert food to energy).

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

Helps in energy production and normal growth.

This cheat sheet of Vitamins can help keep you stay on the right track on your health journey this winter. While taking 7 different vitamins a day seems overwhelming, Centrum has a multivitamin that has specific benefits to help support physical performance (perfect for me!) with a combination of essential nutrients.  The Centrum Performance multivitamin helps to enhance physical performance, support the immune system and cognitive function, reduce mental fatigue, maintain muscle function, and contains antioxidants to support good health - the perfect mix to support my busy lifestyle.

Centrum offers a tool to help you identify which Centrum multivitamin best fits your lifestyle and preferences. According to the criteria that were important to me, I received the Centrum Performance multivitamin as my supplement suggestion. It’s very easy to use and helpful to give more information on the different products offered. Best part is that you can also get a coupon on the Centrum website to try your vitamins.

With all this said, I’ll be giving the Centrum Performance multivitamin a try so that I can stick to my normal pace in and out of the gym all winter long! I invite you to try the tool, Find Your Centrum, and embark on this health journey with me. You have probably noticed that I’ve posted Centrum vitamins in my stories on Instagram a lot in the past, I truly love the brand and the supplements they have to offer. So it’s going to be up out of bed and back to go mode, eating a healthy and balanced breakfast, supporting my immune system, helping maintain my muscle and cognitive function as well as my physical performance. Can’t wait to share more about my journey and hear from all of you in the comments below on how you keep your health on track during the winter!
